Inauguration - Frontier of Peace Museum, Portugal - August 26, 2017 @marcelorebelo_

The Krakowiak Family is featured at the "Fronteira da Paz" (Frontier of Peace) Museum in Vilar Formoso, Portugal. This train station is the point where thousands of refugees seeking safe haven flooded into Portugal in 1940.
Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, President of Portugal inaugurated the museum on August 26th. (http://bit.ly/2x0Wf3C). That is Joan with the President on the cover photo.
Yvonne's yarn doll, a present from Senhor Alberto Malafaia, appears in the showcase (see pic below). Architect and museum creator Luisa Pacheco Marques told Joan that she could not locate another doll of this period in all of Portugal. This convinced Joan to loan her precious possession to the museum.

When it was Joan's turn to greet the President he said,"What? Are you here again?" It was the third time that Joan had met the President.

Joan reads Yvonne's death notice to President Marcelo (That's how the President likes to be addressed.)
